8 months

While we were in my hometown of Ahoskie this weekend, Miss Evelyn turned 8 months old!!! It was a rainy day but she enjoyed exploring Grammy and Grandpa's house!  We don't have her next check up until 9 months but I can tell you this: she is BUSY! Her new nickname is BB for busy body. If you don't pay attention she is in the other room, climbing stairs, pulling up on dangerous things,etc! whew! Let the craziness begin!!!!

Lucy is 2,920 days old!

At 5:00 on the dot this evening, Lucy turned 8 years old!!!  Although, she seems older most of the time, she is still my first and I can't believe I have an 8 yr old! I think the 10 yr old milestone is really going to get me!!  She got to open one gift last night and then we had a pancake breakfast with gift opening early this morning before school!  Josh took her class sprinkled donuts for dessert at lunch then she got to have a 'school night birthday' sleepover this evening! We ended the night with a little bit of Japanese steak house and now I officially don't need to eat for the next week!

Lucy's 8th Birthday Party

Lucy always has a hard time deciding on what to do for her birthday parties! This is mainly in part that she always wants to have boys and girls so it can't be too girly!  This year, after much thought, she decided that an outing to the local putt putt place Adventure Landing would be fun- and it was!  We had 25 rambunctious kiddos arrive yesterday around 4pm for some arcade fun, pizza, cookie cake, bumper boats and putt putt!!!  Her actual birthday is not until Wednesday so I'll update on the ongoing celebrations in a few days!

Alice has decided that she wants to be trendy so today (thanks for her doting grandmother), she wore her newly purchased poncho from Target to school and could not have been happier!

A few days ago, she was 'rare form' while putting on a dance show for Evelyn and me...enjoy!
