All is calm….all is bright…..
Well, Christmas has past but we are still celebrating. I am counting my blessings that we managed to keep everyone well through the holiday despite a consistent cold with Evelyn. We had a lot fun leading up to the big event. I wanted to be really prepared this year so I could enjoy the chaos My parents came up on the Sunday before for Lucy singing in church, Nutcracker, gifts, dinner, etc! The girls loved their first round of presents! Since I was semi-prepared for Santa's arrival I was able I went to go to Pure Barre on Christmas Eve and only had one errand to run…it was so nice…we met josh's parents at the 4pm family service on Christmas Eve. Evelyn did very well for a church service…despite the sugar her older sisters kept giving her! We had a lovely dinner afterwards and celebrated my mother in law's birthday. Poor thing…always feel like she gets the shaft on her special day b/c of the craziness that Christmas Eve brings! I will admit that the kids were teetering on the side of NAUGHTY on christmas eve which made some annual traditions be filled with parental threats but we made it through it. Lucy said as I tucked her in, "Mom, I'm sorry I haven't been listening but I just can't contain my excitement for Christmas tomorrow." That would explain why she was up and down starting at 3:30am waiting to see if she could venture to the christmas tree! agh!!! We started opening presents around 7am which I thought was pretty good….Evelyn didn't really know what to think at first but she quickly caught on! She got a kitchen, food accessories, baby dolls, doll high chair, shopping cart, new chair, clothes, books, stuffed animals, etc! The older two got some great items that they have seemed to really enjoy (especially the Furbies which are about to drink me BONKERS!)…..We ate breakfast, opened stockings and had a nice and lazy day with friends and family. Below are some pictures from the big event! Hope you and yours had a very merry christmas!!!! (and one video)
