80's Party

Last night, Josh and I attended an 80's costume party.  Everyone really went all out with their costumes....we had Teen Wolf, Supermarket Sweep contestants, headgear/rollerskates, prom queens and kings, John McEnroe, Hooters girls, Devo band, hard rockers, Caddyshack, gymnasts,  cheerleaders, baseball players, Flashdance, JR/Sue Ellen from Dallas, Ronald and Nancy Reagan, etc!  I only took a few pictures and I can't believe I'm posting the one of myself as a baby (I was born in '80 ;-)

Enjoy!

Fall Festivals all around!

What a beautiful weekend we have had here in W-S!  Josh was out of town all weekend since Thursday so we had a girls weekend! Friday night was our elementary school's fall fest- the girls always have the best time running around with their friends! Lucy finally got up the nerve for the Haunted House!  We had our junior garden club outing yesterday followed by some japanese food for dinner.  Evelyn loved the edamame!!!  Josh returned today and we headed out to our club's fall festival. It is his favorite party of the year! They have 'fair like' food but much better!  Alice enjoyed the face painting, petting zoo (especially the snake-ugh!) and the tilt a whirl! Lucy couldn't get enough of the climbing wall and zip line!  Evelyn, unfortunately, did not make the cut this year and stayed home with our wonderful sitter, Shannon.  We snapped a few pictures with her beforehand!

rainy day pics

I unloaded the memory card from my 'big' camera today and here were some photo 'treasures' I had not downloaded:

Visiting with Danny

This past weekend, I scurried off to Atlanta with my parents to visit a wonderful family friend, Danny.  Growing up, Danny was the minister of music at our church in Ahoskie.  He was pretty much an adopted family member.  He did wonders for our wedding, used to babysit us while parents travelled, took me on wonderful youth church trips, etc.  He moved to Atlanta around 6 or 7 years ago and we miss him dearly!  Mom and I visited him while I was pregnant with Alice, he surprised mom for her 60th birthday party, but I haven't him other than that!  Needless to say, it was time for a trip! A month or so ago, Josh could sense that I needed to some time away and he would keep the girls so Mom, Dad and I got to planning!  We arrived on Thursday and basically shopped & ate our way through Atlanta and its suburbs!  We ended the trip with a wonderful service at his current church.  I only took a few photos but it was a wonderful getaway especially after our crazy week at home last week!
