Girl loves a bath!

Every night around 6:15- we are trying to stretch Evelyn to bath time so her favorite activity helps a lot- a BATH! The girls loves the bath. She starts bouncing when you she sees the tub! Most nights, Alice takes a bath with her but the other night I had all three lil' duckies in the tub!  Evelyn loves to splash but her new (annoying) game is to throw every toy out including the soaking wet washcloth!

First Snow of 2013

Well, it wasn't quite what they promised and schools were cancelled by 7pm the night before but it was enough for us to get out and go sledding!

We had one small snow last year in mid-February but other than that- nothing!  I wasn't quite prepared for Evelyn in the snow wear department, (#momfail) but she didn't seem to skip a beat. Her face the whole time we were out there had a look of confusion- ha!

Last February's snow:                                               2012

what a difference a year makes!
2013

Although it is melting fast, the girls (and josh) enjoyed a little sledding!
We are now headed into a 5 day weekend- #thankgoodnessIhaveasittertomorrownight!

Surprise trip to the Great Wolf Lodge

AND....we pulled it off! We successfully surprised the older two girls this past Saturday with a surprise overnight trip to the Great Wolf  Lodge in Concord!  They couldn't believe it when we told them!  Lucy kept saying, 'you really didn't have to bring us here, but thank you!' and 'this is most awesome day ever'!  Needless to say, they had a BALL! They loved their 'wolf den' bunk bed room!  We did the waterpark from 2-730 then hit the outlets and had dinner! We were back in water slide action the next morning at 9am!  Thanks to Josh's parents who kept Baby E!

then we came home to see Evelyn and went to her BF's Bland's 1st bday party!

On to 2013!

Tonight is probably the most uneventful New Years Eve I have ever had (as you can tell, I'm blogging about it already!).  We were not able to find a sitter and now Josh and I are both sick with some yucky virus.  Do you know how hard it is to be a sick parent? (especially when both are down?).  We are taking shifts with Evelyn....the older two are self-sufficient.......We are both ready to feel better and hope that the New Year brings temperatures down and rids our house of germs!

The girls did go to our club's 'new years eve eve' party last night, which was SO wonderful for kids! A magician kept the kids thoroughly entertained for an hour while the adults mingled.  Then there was a dinner and karaoke! Lucy had been practicing her Taylor Swift songs for days!  Lastly at 8pm, there was a countdown complete with horns and a balloon drop...the kids LOVED it!

Despite tonight being uneventful, I am spending it with my loved ones so in a way it couldn't be more perfect! Alice helped me set a 'fancy kids dinner' she called it....then we had brownies and sparkling grape juice!  To top it off, they are having a 'sleepover' in our great room and are watching a movie.  Josh and I are already curled up in bed (yes it is not even 9pm) but some Advil and sleep never sounded so good!

Happy New Years to you and yours!
